Welcome to the official website for South Bucks Archers, the friendly archery club for Slough and the surrounding area.
Originally formed and shooting in
Iver Heath, we are affiliated to
the Bucks Archery Association, the Southern
Counties Archery Society and to Archery GB (AGB), the
governing body for archery in the UK. We shoot under their rules,
regulations and insurance cover. Catering for all bow-styles,
we are proud to count amongst our members two AGB qualified coaches, one EFAA qualified instructor and past or present County
and National Champions, all of whom are
happy to help and advise new members if required.
Our shooting ground is at St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School, 1 Langley Road, Slough SL3 7AF. where we have use of their large field and sports hall and benefit from secure parking and no public right of access.
In the summer, we meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6.00pm and Sunday Mornings from 10.00am. During the winter months, our evening shoots take place in the sports hall, when a small fee is charged per archer to cover the cost of the hire. Winter shooting times are Monday 6.30pm to 8.30pm, Wednesday 7.00pm to 9.00pm and Sundays from 10.00am.
We do require that you wear soft, non-marking soled shoes when shooting in the hall (squash shoes are ideal) and ask that you bring such shoes to change into. Full changing and toilet facilities are available on site. AGB Members are welcome.
